Family Camp
Building Strength in Community
Family Camp was founded in response to a need for practical venues for resource parents to obtain continuing education credits necessary for maintaining their home’s certification.
Resource parents bring their whole family–biological, foster, adoptive or otherwise–for a long weekend of workshops, family fun and community building. Kindred Matters volunteers provide supervision while parents attend trainings from experts on different topics to add to their education and skills as resource parents. When not attending workshops, families are able to participate in different camp activities together and build community with other families who understand the journey they are on.

If you have a young person who has a sibling living in a separate home we would also love to encourage you to invite them to apply. Family Camp is also a great space for sibling connection if our Sibling Camp is not the right fit.
